I read this book late, late at night when I couldn't sleep. And the story scared me so much that I literally couldn't go back to sleep. I had literal goosebumps. And I loved it.
Being a fan of true crime podcasts, I really fell in love with this novel and the different ways the story was told... like scenes from the courtroom and newspaper articles. I also really enjoyed the ending, how Shea and her sister Esther grew closer together. You felt like you were reading an "after the credits," like after a movie ends and the credits roll. I really enjoyed seeing what was happening to the characters after the climax of the novel occurred.
If you love spine-chilling thrillers with a hint of paranormal, then add this new book to your TBR. Simone St James is just getting better and better. Any fan of hers will not be disappointed by this one.
