After twenty-one books Nancy Atherton's Aunt Dimity series remains one of my favorites. They are cozy mysteries, frequently without a murder (as is true in this one), and with a touch of the paranormal. What I find most appealing is the frequent setting in a small English village called Finch, and the interactions of the villagers. The residents of Finch all have their flaws and eccentricities resulting in minor blow ups but ultimately their sense of community brings them together.
