A collection of episodes from a National Geographic series. I have no idea why there was a need for the Geographic to have a channel- a lot of the material made for the channel lacks the professionalism of the long series of documentaries put out for home video. Such is the case with this set, looking at animals out of place (or people out of place in the world of animals). The tell tale signs of the cable channel's more annoying habits are here, and they become distracting from what would have otherwise been interesting material- the pointlessly dramatic music, the quick cut edits, and the slow down/ speed up editing- and these things become grating after awhile. It's a shame the Geographic persists in these techniques for their current generation of documentaries.
