"I've got a head for business and a bod for sin." One comment says "classic seventies," but this came out in 1988. OK. Brings together romantic comedy with women in the workplace ("Baby Boom") and a Wall St. setting ("Wall Street"). It's hard to believe there was a time when the pneumatic Melanie Griffith was considered a good actress. Luckily, Sigourney Weaver and Harrison Ford are in it. And, in very small parts, Kevin Spacey, Nora Dunn, and David Duchovny. Alec Baldwin is skeezy as her skeezy boyfriend. It's all very 80s and a kinda fun time capsule, but it's hardly a very good movie. Sigourney Weaver was nominated for both this and "Gorillas in the Mist," which came out the same year. Poorly directed by Mike Nichols ("The Graduate"). Songs by Carly Simon.
