Disappointing. White Noise is one of my favorite books. I found it funny, insightful, and moving. This book I found virtually none of those. It was a chore to get through. The plot slogs along at an incredibly slow pace and then when it does pick up it becomes scatterbrained. The idea of mass vs individual is not well constructed. It's not entertaining, and whatever serious philosophical ideas DeLillo attempts to orchestrate don't hit because the characters are people we just can't care about. There are just there. I didn't get it.
