The author makes the science accessible and it's a good overview of what is known today about our microbiome, but it's still too soon in this field for anything definitive to be written. The recommendation near the end to "seed a baby's microbiome" with the mother's flora is probably the most important point in the book.

Fantastic book! Reading this book, you will not only have contact with a highly superior mind [the depth and breadth of this author/scientist's writing is quite something], but become beyond current with regard to science of the human today!
