Every garden offers children a rich, sensory playground, full of interesting things to discover and learn about. There's a whole lot of science happening right before their eyes. The garden can also be a place to develop math and literacy skills, as the outdoors offers up plenty of invitations to weave learning into everyday gardening. The garden classroom is a place where plants grow, and where children grow too.

A very well laid out book that offers compact projects for those who live in compact spaces! Not to mention, “all ideas in this book are tried, tested and approved by children”- a whole year’s worth! This is awesome news! With the approach that “anything taught in an indoor classroom, can be taught outdoors” they feature viewing one project from many different angles. In addition, they offer several very important tips when gardening with children: pick vegetables that have a short production time, and grow those that children enjoy eating. Fun ideas appear throughout the book, such as how to have a “Mud Pie Tea Party,” and “Egg Heads & Tin Can Hair Salon.”
Every part of this book is my favorite part, and the Resource List in the back is nice, too! Enjoy!
