But when his faithful K-9 partner Argos is killed in the line of duty, Cooper, caught in a spiral of trauma and grief, has nowhere else to turn. Jobless and on the verge of divorce, he accepts a offer for the position of dog officer in Harmony Farms, leaving the life he spent twenty years building behind. The Dog Who Saved Me was my first introduction to Susan Wilson as an author. I consumed this book in a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it, even had to shed a tear or two. I was impressed with the knowledge and research that must have gone into this book. I'll be reading more from this author soon.

This is currently my favorite book. It touched me deeply and even made me look upon my husband's out of control yellow lab in a new light. I think it's the best of her books. If you're a dog lover at all, give this one a try.

This was a great story about PTSD, drug dealers, a dysfunctional family and animal abuse. It is one of those books that are hard to put down. My only problem with it was the bad language that she uses !
