Spectacular aerial shots of the Alps, four seasons of peaks (Mount Blanc, Eiger, the Dolomites ...), and valleys with its glaciers feeding into the lakes and rivers in Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Slovenia. It opened with extreme down hill skiing ... ~90 minutes of breathtaking vista and sights. It you have time, watch some if not all ten 50min episodes from the German Series in youtube ---- see Video links. Some of the people and historic stories are absolutely fascinating.

A fascinating documentary about life in the Alps- ecosystems, humanity, culture, history, geography- and the cinematography is spectacular.
