This book really needs a text edit -- among the annoying typos, most of a whole paragraph is repeated verbatim. Although Prof. Acharya is Canadian and has taught at York, it seems he has written this short book mainly written for a US audience enthralled by a very narrow world view. He does provide a short summary of regional bodies and international norms which were not driven or controlled by the US govt -- yet that itself undermines his speaking of "The End of the American Order". Here's hoping he writes a revised edition.
