A departure from my usual Science Fiction Fantasy reading. I really enjoyed it. Complex characters and storylines merging, crossing paths. A great boyhood friendship, and a view of dissolving and developing relationships from his perspective. Highly recommend.

An unusual novel about a boy spying on his mother and trying to understand her relationships with her lover and with her ex-husband. The boy has a best friend going through a similar situation with his parents. Eventually, it all turns out ok but it takes a long time to get there.
