Unless you are willing to pressure can meat and acquire powdered eggs, powdered vanilla (which sells for about $100/lb), you should look to other sources of information for 'meals in a jar'. Instead of the sensibility of labels for jars/bags/whatever in one place to scan, they are scattered throughout the book with each recipe, too. There are very few recipes worth copying off, let along trying, in this book. Also, no information is given on how to reduce 16 six serving meals to a smaller amount as for one recipe, so you're stuck with buying 24 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, for example. Even something as everyday as split pea soup requires dehydrated vegetables.

Dissapointed in the recipes. It did not have proper canning methods but more on how to can in plastic mylar bags. Not what was on the cover at all.
