After watching four really horrid movies in a row, this was an amazing change. Other than Farrell had a serious overdose of Botox just before filming this, we enjoyed both the action and the strange love story. Although there is action and a bit of swearing, this is basically a story of how people get pushed to the edge and whether they will jump when they get there. Tense, dark, and well written.

Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace meet under weird circumstances. They both have a common purpose. The story is well done. A lot of swearing, blood, and guns. Deals with the underworld in New York City. The leads' relationship draws you further into the story, and I wound up having compassion for them, even though I might not agree with their techniques.

Saw this movie twice. Enjoyed both times.

This wasn't the greatest movie . Plus it freezes in places , eventually gets going again .
Was a bland , slow movie , not appealing on any level .

This movie can be a tad slow at times but overall I thought this was an excellent movie. A combination of the Punisher and the Salton Sea. A terrible one man vs all ending but still worth the watch.

A fairly decent film with the revenge theme. Pretty violent at times.

This wouldn't even play.

Good action packed movie. Typical revenge story but still interesting. Both main characters are well portrayed. If you are looking for action entertainment I recommend this flic.

Better than I expected. I like Colin Farrell - here he has a great screen presence and exudes some humanity and emotion. Lots of blood and gore but a really quirky love story too which is its major appeal. Some clever touches and dialogue too.

A good film with with excellent acting, notably from Noomi Rapace. The movie really picks up when her character enters the movie. The story is a bit confusing at times but it all comes together towards the end. The main lines of the ending were predictable but it was still a satisfying conclusion as it was done in an interesting way and there was some originality to how it was done.

Darcy (to Victor, of his newborn son): "...Wasn't meant to be this way, you know? We make our plans, sure. But life... life is what happens to you along the way. ...You know -- first I didn't want this... I didn't want to connect; I didn't want to get involved... But she kept on with me, you know? This is what life is; this is why we're here, to connect, to... to build... We're here to build something. ...And then we had Theo. And then I understood that, you know, she was right. We're not meant to be alone. You know what she said to me? She said that even the most damaged heart... can be mended. Even the most damaged heart."
