Mary Whaley has her hands full running a successful catering company and overseeing her supper club. She has everything she ever wanted--or so she thought. When she meets ridiculously hot and very dirty rock star Damien Hurley at her friend's engagement party, the attraction she feels is overpowering--and she isn't about to deny herself. Damien is used to a hard and fast life. He and two of his brothers started a band when they were fresh out of high school--then they hit the big time and stayed there. He's also a legendary madman on the stage and in the bedroom. But when he meets Mary, something clicks, and the bad boy starts thinking he may have finally found something good. What begins as a series of fleeting trysts soon gets much more complicated. Damien can't figure out why Mary doesn't want more from him. And before long, it's Damien who wants more from Mary. But it turns out Mary is no stranger to celebrity news, and he's got a very big job ahead of him: proving that he's worth more than a one-night stand.

Oh my gosh. I stuck through the entire Brown Family series and the Delicious trio because I'm a completionist that way. After that mass consumption the trend was clear and they can all be given the same review.

There are two types of scenes in these books. Characters are either having sex or complementing each other. It is a mutual appreciation society. They are boosting their friends' damaged self esteem telling them that they are amazing and deserving of happiness, celebrating friends' amazingness, or being supportive as a friend works through trauma from their past.

I dare you to find another theme.

Lauren Dane is a fantastic erotic writer, but I have to say, i didn't enjoy Lush as much as I did Tart. Spoiler: The hero and heroine break up over a "misunderstanding" - a paparazzi photo that gets interpreted the wrong way. Misunderstandings are one of my pet peeves in romances; I thought it was extremely immature of the heroine, Mary, to break up with Damien, over a photo provided by a known paparazzi photographer who had already caused problems with her close friends. (Clearly she wasn't using her brain - when getting info, always consider your source!) Yup, pretty boneheaded. Mary is supposed to be an uber successful chef/businesswoman who owns her own catering business. She meets Damien, sexy drummer, through one of her food gigs. I thought the guy was way nicer. had a bit of a tortured past, but overall a cooler character. So I did think her character was not consistent. No, I don't think the couple was well matched in this one.

hot & fun story & characters. Make sure you read 'TART' first so it's easier to know all the background.
