This movie was not at all what I expected it to be. I was very pleasently surprised. A very moving story that touches on a not so popular topic: mental illness and finding a way to live with it, positively.

Bradley Cooper did a super job with this part and the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence was amazing. I truly enjoyed this movie. Fun & entertaining in a crazy kind of way.

This superbly directed movie starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper is the absolute best movie we've watched for months, maybe EVER... The acting was so astondingly deep, with all kinds of inner emotional fervor, the clothes and costumes perfect, the family relationships unusual but also so much like we all can identify with on some level. Cooper acted the part of Pat, a by-polar out of control man obsessed with his divorced wife. His manic behavior was disturbing, I often felt pity for him. Yet he could be stilled and de-escalated with some words of sense from his father (who was OCD about baseball gambling and had his own weirdness) , Pat's mother was so loving and both Pat's parents were So patient. Pat's psychiatrist was right on and the police officer was fun. There were some sad and touching parts. Tiffany, played by Jennifer Lawrence' was a wounded half crazy person herself, bossy and passionate to the extreme with colorful swearing and so fiesty, but also vulnerable and easily hurt. The dancing and the music with every other aspect of this feature film make this extraordinary 2 hour movie spin by. Twists and turns and a building plot all worked together for an exciting and captivating watch. Wait-no, more like being immersed in these individuals lives... If I could give this movie 20*stars, I would! Terrific Acting by Robert De Nero and many more. The facial expressions priceless, what a work of art this is. The music was great but it didn't overpower the talking which so many movies are guilty of, this was perfect. The houses, streets and settings are so well adapted to the script, which was great. Oh my gosh, I can hardly believe so many of the actors in this film remembered all their lines! There was so much talking and really lengthy and thought provoking dialogue. I guess you could call this a comical psychological romance. lol- What a blast!!!!
