This is a collection of fourteen different tales from fourteen separate young adult genre authors that cover all aspects of bullying. Whether the bullying occurs from a classmate, teacher, teammate or relative, these stories reflect the common theme that the source of bullying is never quite cut and dry and that nearly every one of us at some point in our lives has been a tormenter, a victim, or simply a silent witness to bullying. In every chapter each character has their own reaction to their torment with some backing down to their bully, and others rising up in defiance. Not all the stories have a rosy ending. Some are very unsettling and leave you wondering how or why someone could do such a thing to another human being. The use of social media is also addressed as the internet is used in several instances to either intimidate the victims or “out” the bully. A very interesting read that I would highly recommend to anyone grade 6 through adult. Reviewed by DH
