I have checked my computer on many occasions and even doubled checked with the librarian by phone to make sure these passes were available -- after driving sometimes 30 minutes, I am regularly disappointed! Why can't they ask for or we give our library card number when we are on our way to pick it up??? This is very frustruating and I'm sure I spent 20 dollars in gas alone today going to three libraries! Also, why can't they be returned sooner than a week so that more people can use them?? I would also ask, "why couldn't there be more if they are so popular?" I'm very disappointed.

How about five day passes? After heartbreaking trips to various libraries, these passes seem extinct... Wish parents would return them promptly, all kids like to have some fun too. Ithink the website is a bit off, not acurate .Thank you. Ps Alta Vista staff friendly, and Sunnyside.Lemon award to Centerpointe.

I've been trying all week to get this pass from various libraries. It is incredibly difficult to obtain. The online catalogue indicates it's there but by the time I get to the library it's "gone". The librarians are also very unhelpful. I'm pretty fed up and I'm sure I've spent more money in gas than this pass would have saved us.

Why can't I place a hold on the museum passes?

By the way, parking is free at these museums, I realized this after paying $6 for each one (thats the maximum rate). I never thought of opening up the case, but when i later did, i saw in a small corner it had said "free parking", Im really disappointed that the employees didnt tell me about it, in fact, when i showed them my pass, they actually reminded me if i had paid and displayed my parking pass!!!

@ericbrown: I bus there all the time, winter or summer. Here's the employee trick: Take the number 7 to St.Laurent/Blasdell (stop is at St.Laurent/Jeffrey if coming from Rideau). Walk straight down Blasdell, then go on the path across the little foot bridge, keeping as straight towards the parkway as possible, then once the path meets the parkway, turn left. 10 minutes.

If you're happier on pavement, you can also get off at St.Laurent/Hemlock and walk along Hemlock until you reach the bicycle path, then North up that path. ~20 mins.

Enjoy your visit!

There is no way to get out to the museum by bus during fall and winter
