I read this biography because David Adams Richards wrote it, not because I knew anything about Lord Beaverbrook. I'm so glad I read it! Beaverbrook was a fascinating Canadian who played an important role in the outcome of WWII. My dad's generation knows who Beaverbrook was, but sadly, younger Canadians are probably not familiar with him. Richards brings his complicated character to life in this very enjoyable little book.

A good biography -- and a good read.
