A haunting, atmospheric novel full of imagery and angst. It has stayed with me since I finished it!

A haunting ghost story with sharp tenderness and beautiful prose about bonds of sisterhood, the price of secrets, and the darkness that resides in us all.

Creepy, grim, page-turner that I couldn't put down.

I got through chapter 1 and i thought it was very unclear. I didn't know what was happening. I didn't enjoy it at all, and I don't reccomend it.

I liked this book, but it was very strange.

I have to think about my rating for this one. It's beautifully written; even the descriptions of the ordinary sparkle. You really get a sense of the town, its rhythm, its denizens. What I think I can't quite get past is my dislike for Ruby, the older sister of the protagonist, Chloe. Her love for Chloe is undeniable. It's also controlling and manipulative, as is her relationship to the rest of the townspeople. This love, however well defined, isn't redemptive enough for me. She's Manic Sociopathic Pixie Dream Girl.
