This short book is a compilation of articles, some academic, some from newspapers, about piracy off the coast of Somalia. It is, unfortunately, already somewhat dated despite being published only a year ago, in part because some of the articles date back several years and the situation now is quite different from even 2008. Some of the better articles are also available online, making the book more useful as a guide to further reading than anything else. The book's brevity is both its strength and its weakness - a lot of perspectives are covered quickly, but there's isn't enough space to do any of them justice.
