I had a hard time putting this books down. Lucius (the "beast") is amazingly self-aware and not depressing. Aurore (the "beauty") sees the good in everyone. The chapters skip between these two perspectives in a way that makes more of their interactions.

Very quick read, yet a simply lovely told story that alternates from the female and male protagonists' viewpoint. I enjoyed the honesty from which the main characters spoke.

This book was enthralling, with a very unsatisfying ending. I was very diasppointed.

Good book. I didn't really get the whole beauty and the beast thing some people were talking about, but that might just be me.

Quite good, you'll want to read to the end. Each chapter switches from 'Lucius' to 'Aurora' and back again, but this is really easy to forget, even with the label at the top of the page. It's because the two are written with the exact same voice, which I suppose is to awe you with how they're soulmates but instead turns out pretty funny when you misinterpret the first few sentences. Also a little heavy on the identical references and just an okay ending, but a good read overall.

Although, I didn't really pick up any 'Beauty & the Beast' vibes.

If you've read Catherine Gilbert Murdock's Dairy Queen series, you'll probably like this book. It has the same tone though the central plots are quite different.

This book is is a modern version of beauty and the beast. It takes place in a high school between a nice girl and a boy who stay to him self because he has two hooks instead of hands.
