I got hooked on the love story and adventures of Jamie and Claire after listening to Outlander on CD. I guess an advantage to such long stories is that you tend to become involved with the characters. Voyager is 3rd in the series and so far it is the only one I have problems with. I have a hard time believing so much bad luck and outlandish things can happen to one person, although I must admit many long-running series have this problem. Ditto with improbable coincidences that have our protagonists meeting characters from the past clear across the ocean in the West Indies. I also have a problem with Claire when she deliberately takes chances that put her in danger then is "frozen with fear" and/or faints.'d think by now she would be used to danger. Oh well, I am game to go on with the fourth installment now that they are in America.

Read whole series or listened to it!! Awesome storyline! The voice on cds awesome! Did several of these in both book form and cd. The actress who performs on cd speaks for everyone.... Claire, Jamie, Ian, all of them... such a marvelous job she does too.

This is an answer to both Maggiemarsha59 and TexasTully ...
I ordered what I thought was Discs 1-18 and received Discs 19-36 and since I didn't want to start the book halfway through, I consulted a librarian who ordered the first half of the book(Discs 1-18) and I put Discs 19-36 back into the library and waited to receive the first half of the book. When it came on hold for me again, I went to pick the book up but again it was only Discs 19-36. Again a librarian was consulted and this time the first part of the book (Discs 1-18) was ordered by its specific barcode and I am happy to report that Friday I picked up the right discs (1-18). There is a glitch in the system somewhere but having a librarian order it for you by its barcode works so if the two people above are still interested in the first half of the book, this is how to get it. I hope this helps.

Thank you to the two librarians that helped resolve this issue for me! I am very appreciative!

I am so glad that there is the 36 CD set.... Now if the Library would just make discs 1-18 available!! What is the point of having only disc 19-36? Sigh!

NOT SF/F. Bodice ripper. I am really tired of having stuff like this foisted off on me as SF/F. This should be listed only under "romance novels". Even for a bodice ripper I find this series particularly brainless and unbelievable. I'm sure the author is weeping all the way to the bank. See my comments on the originating novel "Outlander" for a more descriptive comment. As for this particular book - she's finally gotten back to modern times and she's actually contemplating going BACK? To medical care that consists of remedies that incorporate mercury and arsenic? Not to mention LEECHES? No public sanitation? Frequent epidemics? No dental care? No antibiotics? People burning other people at the stake because they think they are witches? (OK so most of them got hanged) For that matter, a judicial system that lets the rich off blatantly and hangs the poor for stealing a loaf of bread? Where women are literally chattel? After having suffered multiple sexual assaults and a forced marriage? No thank you!
