Michael Palin has made a specialty of travelling the world over the last twenty five or so years for the BBC in a series of documentaries, and he's always an engaging host, curious about the places he travels to. That curiousity is infectious, as is his sense of humour, which shows itself on occasion. This series follows him as he travels along the highest range of mountains in the world, meeting the great variety of people who live in the region. The end result is insightful, informative, and well worth your time.

I found Michael Palin to be a gentle and sensitive narrator for an enjoyable and interesting look
at this beautiful part of the world -
especially the independent Kingdom of Bhutan where "gross national happiness" is more important than "gross national product".

Other than showing the landscapes in the Himalaya area, this movie also show the various cultures and the human aspects.
