When her beloved assistant Holly Nichols sets her wedding date, caterer extraordinaire Madeline Bean throws the biggest bachelorette luau ever. Everything is perfection -- the lush surroundings of a warm Hawaiian surf, moonlight hula lessons, heaps of coconut grilled shrimp. What could go wrong? But when the party-goers find a dead man floating in the surf, the bride gets a bad case of jitters. Now Madeline must track down the mystery man Holly may have married -- and forgotten to divorce -- a decade ago.

This is the second Madeline Bean mystery that I have read.It is kind of different than the usual 'cozies' that I so much enjoy, but worth reading. There is no knitting group or little local donut shop owner solving crimes(which I love), but the characters are quirky and likeable.I would recommend this as a change of pace, just a little something different now and then. The important ingredients are present, a dead body, several suspects and unlikely heros.
