Add a CommentInteresting perspective on Ottawa’s expansion in the 70’s-80’s. Really liked the twist at the end about the wind tunnel – that, the NCC bureaucracy / raison d’être, and the fact that everyone seems to go to university in McGill particularly made me smile – quite an interesting tale, though a little bleak – particularly for the women.
This book is the story of two men whose lives are somewhat connected indirectly. I found myself having a hard time putting it down. I think this book's strength is its character development; I found that I ended up feeling very strongly about all of the characters.
