This book was horribly confusing. It was mildly entertaining, but more as a concept than as a full book. It would have been funnier as a short story.

This book was horribly confusing. It was mildly entertaining, but more as a concept than as a full book. It would have been funnier as a short story.

I suppose one could argue that I greatly identified with the main character's absurd situation of having a mission so secret that he is never told what it is, but I think that's giving the book too much credit. Lem is my favourite author, but I would recommend reading one if his better known books before tackling this one.
