A grand story -- far more ambitious than the usual children's animated fare, buoyed by a great screenplay and performances and superb art direction and music. Doesn't shrink from presenting the cruel violence at the heart of the tale, so use discretion with younger viewers.

I think that this is a movie that all parents should watch with their kids.

This movie has to be one of the best animated Bible stories EVER. The music is BREATHTAKING, and it's just such a great story. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. If I could put the music lyrics in the quotes, I would (and at this point, I may consider doing that). WATCH IT!!!! And if you want more watch Joseph: King of Dreams.

i love this movie very much. it motivates me and helps me keep in mind that there is a devine purpose for me on this earth. and that i should make that happen.

Great movie! Very entertaining, though I must admit, it is not all accurate.
One thing that drove me crazy is that Miriam, who should be in her eighties when Moses comes to deliver the Israelites, looks like a fourteen-year-old!
But all in all, I've always really enjoyed this movie.
Another great one to watch is Joseph, King of Dreams.

An amazing retelling of the story of Moses. The characters are all realistic; the plot believable. Moments are touching and heart-breaking. Story is impacting. A movie that anyone and everyone needs to see.

MegK I so hear you. This story was so inspirational, and Not only did I like the Ten Commandments part, but just at the end when you hear Moses's mother and the movie just ends with her voice in "Deliver Us."
Perfect! 5/5 Stars

Rameses: "Abandon this futile mission, Moses...this must be finished."
Moses: "No, Rameses. It is only beginning."
Aaron: "But, Moses, didn't you see what happened? The priests did the same thing. Pharoah still has the power over our lives."
Moses: " *pause* Yes, Aaron, it's true. Pharoah still has the power. He can take away your home, your food, your freedom. He can take away your sons and daughters. With one word, Pharoah can take away your very lives. But, there is one thing he cannot take away-your faith. Believe, for we shall see God's wonders."

Moses: "Tzipporah...look at your family. They are free. They have a future. They have hopes and dreams, and a promise of a life with dignity. That is what I want for my people. And that is why I must do the task that God has given me."

Moses: I figured it out. You know what your problem is Rameses? You care too much.
Rameses: And your problem is that you don't care at all.

Rameses: Tell me this Moses, tell me this: why is it that every time you start something, I'm the one who ends up in trouble?

Moses: Is this where you found me?
Queen: Moses, please try to understand.
Moses: So everything I thought, everything I am, is a lie.
Queen: No! You are our son and we love you.
Moses: Why did you choose me?
Queen: We didn't, Moses. The gods did.

Rameses: [They are both late for the banquet] I'm done for, Father will kill me!
Moses: Don't worry, nobody will even notice us coming in.
[they enter, the crowd cheers loudly]
Rameses: [sarcastic] Nobody will even notice.
