It is so hard to see the amazing Elisabeth Shue be abused, If she were to come on to me, I would quit drinking, or do whatever she wanted me to do.........She is pure love, and she shows it in this movie.......It is just too hard to watch, when things go south for her character in the film.......I wished for a different ending.......Good movie.....

A supposed love story. A prostitute falls for an alcoholic. A strange relationship develops.
How could you fall in love with someone who's goal is to drink himself to death. If you want to see another film about drunkards see Bar Fly another bad movie.

This film is amazingly poignant and well acted. Perhaps one of the best modern day tragedies, that even Shakespeare and Aeschylus would be proud of!

Picture your worst nightmare which someone tried to make look attractive in a full length film.

Two alcaholics team up to drink themselves to death. Grim realism.
