Unless you are an aficionado of WWII, this story is technical and a bit of a slog to read. There are some torrid sex scenes thrown in that do not advance the plot and objectify the female characters. The story flips from 1940's to present day which results in shallow characterizations and unnecessarily complex plot line. Good idea but not well executed.
