I totally agree with ashleysp and jcharmed. The book is not comparable to "50 Shades of grey", and is indeed about humiliation, degradation. Nonetheless it has a good plot and as such, is a good read considering it was the author's first book. Definitely a compelling read for the mature reader, with a surprise ending for the protagonist. If you like this book. you might consider her second book too, Panic snap.

I agree with jcharmed. I wondered why it was suggested as "if you liked 50 shades' because short of the BDSM aspect, it bore no resemblance.

this is not a romantic book involving BDSM. It is about humiliation and degradation, stark cold twisted sex. This book is nothing like 50 shades of gray. 50 shades reads like a YA fairy tale compared to this.
