Readers need to know that Gil Adamson's previous novel "The Outlander" is a prequel to the Ridgerunner and really needs to be read before it for the most appreciation and enjoyment of the whole story. I'm waiting to read this one now that I've read "The Outlander", which is a fabulous read.
