What I love about this book is how the author lays out things that people worry about. I think it helps kids see that they are not alone in their worries. Meeting new people? Dogs? Noises? The dark? There are so many worries, so what can we do about them? In the second half of the book Parr helps you come up with strategies for helping you cope with your worries. This book is perfect for preschoolers and early grade school students with its bright and colorful illustrations, but it will also appeal to older students for its practical advice.

You might also want to try other books by Parr especially It’s Okay to Make Mistakes and The Feelings book.
