Great testament to daily heroes. Based on actual facts. Very good movie!

I did not know this movie was based on true events. What a sad, sad story. Just makes you appreciate our own firefighters this summer with the terrible fires in BC and not forgetting the terrible fires that burnt through Fort Mcmurray.

Ok, Get ready to cry, there is no way you can't. These were young brave men, who chose to protect, not only people, but trees. You can't get any better than that.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski in 2007 based on the Gentlemen's Quarterly article "No Exit" by Sean Flynn, this American docudrama depicts the activities of the Granite Mountain Hotshots---an elite crew of firefighters who fought the Yarnell Hill Fire in June 2013.
Although the firefighting scenes appear fascinating, thrilling and gripping, the script lacks a real human drama that I can empathize wholeheartedly.

A good show that shows what it is like to be in the firefighters. Loss of a people when the fire can't be controlled and how the survivors cope. It also shows what it takes to get certification and the general interactions between team members. Including bosses that sometimes don't agree on how to handle a event.

Gave up halfway because the movie was so boring. Read a summary of the ending, and it's a shame that it seems way better and interesting compared to the first half. You can easily skip the first 30 minutes of this long movie and miss nothing. It's a shame that this movie sucked because it has a great cast and premise, but the script sucks.

The Granite Mountain Hotshots served the state of Arizona as an elite team of firefighters and fought for the certification and right to become first responders (type 1 hotshots). The majority of the team lost their lives fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire (in Arizona), the most fatal incident of any kind involving firefighters since the 9/11 attacks.

With excellent acting and dramatic effects, viewers witness the devastation alongside the men and their families. The final tribute before the end credits pays homage to the real-life Granite Mountain Hotshots.

Really loved this film, highly engrossing.. Wonderfully shot and acted. I wasn't aware it's a true story .. don't look up the Wikipedia page before you see this amazing and moving movie. Five out of five! Josh Brolin, Jennifer Connelly, Jeff Bridges, and small role by Andie MacDowell all truly shine. I was crying hard at two parts!

Watchable but nothing stands out in the movie.

This was a very engaging film based upon a true story. It deserved to do better at the box office than it did. I guess most Americans are more interested in comic book superheroes than they are in real-life heroes.

This movie was incredibly boring and we almost did not finish it. The plot focused on the personal lives of the members of the crew and their families, not on the main event and technical stuff such training, techniques for fighting fires shown in the movie, there was basically no background to the hotshots' job ect.
Would be interesting to learn more about the fire shelters: why if there are claimed to be so successful did not help in this case? To us, as laics, the fire shelters seemed to be ridiculous. Left us thinking that one has to be crazy to believe the fire shelters can be any help. So this only lightened the situation we watched and we were just stunned, why on the Earth would someone use these?
Wish there was more on the tech side in the movie. Also left me wondering what was the aftermath of the event, what were the consequence of the failure of the communication between the hotshots and air units? Makes it more tragic the fact that a human failure caused so many deaths in this case.
The captions for locations and in the end of the movie were so tiny, that you have to get up and get closer to the TV screen to be able to read it.
On the side note: at the end the photos of the hotshots crew members were easily confused with the actors - the first photo was the photo of the actor and then small photos of the real men followed.
Anyway, having different expectations for this movie, we did not enjoy it.
