"In the New York Times bestseller The Plant Paradox, Dr. Steven Gundry introduced readers to the hidden toxins lurking in seemingly healthy foods like tomatoes, zucchini, quinoa, and brown rice: a class of plant-based proteins called lectins. Many people are familiar with one of the most predominant lectins--a substance called gluten, which is found in wheat and other grains. But while cutting out the bread and going gluten-free is relatively straightforward, going lectin-free is no small task. Now, in The Plant Paradox Cookbook, Dr. Gundry breaks down lectin-free eating step by step and shares one hundred of his favorite healthy recipes."--

Dr. Steven R. Gundry, MD’s “The Plant Paradox Cookbook: 100 Delicious Recipes to help you lose weight, heal your gut and live Lectin-Free” contains not only some great recipes, but a synopsis of his “The Plant Paradox: The Hidden Dangers in "Healthy" Foods That Cause Disease and Weight Gain”. There is the issue of getting all the new ingredients and learning to cook them, but for people with food intolerance and autoimmune disorders, this may well improve their lives. Also good for those of us who want to lose some weight or just eat healthier.

This is a great book! I am a big fan of Dr. Steven Gundry. This book (like all other Gundry books) is a great food and health resource. He recommends a Mediterranean/Keto Diet that avoids plant lectins. You can use the recipes suggested or modify them for your own taste. His blog is an excellent source of valuable free health posts and podcasts.

I probably wouldn't follow the diet to the letter. But there are a lot of yummy-sounding recipes that I want to try in this cookbook.

Very thought provoking. He maintains that many of the "healthy" foods that we eat are not healthy for us, because of 'lectins'. I will have to investigate further. Recipes are good and adaptable. I copied some out that looked good for making a dish with food that Dr. Gundry determines as not as good for us.

Interesting but recipes use too many ingredients for me (16 in one I was looking at.)
