"Enter the world of Ohad Naharin and the Batsheva Dance Company. A man with an extraordinary vision, Naharin is regarded as one of the most important choreographers in the world today. He is known for developing 'Gaga'--a movement language that resists labels, highlights somatic experience, emphasizes improvisation, and pushes dancers to use their body in ways that are ignored or overlooked by other dance techniques. Mr. Gaga explores how Naharin's movement has not only shaped contemporary Israeli dance, but has redefined the modern dance world at large. In this film, viewers meet Naharin at a critical turning point in his personal life; filmed over eight years, it mixes intimate rehearsal footage with previously unseen archival footage."--

If you are a fan of modern dance, this is a good documentary about one dancer-turned-choreographer. Here are a lot of minutes of English subtitles so get ready to do some fast reading.

A Biographical Documentary, explores the creative modern freestyle dancing! Ohad, born in the Israeli Kibbutz, was introduced to dancing by his Mom and Grandmother! He has an Autistic twin that responded well to dancing! Ohid continues to spend time with the disabled, introducng them to movement!
Ohad feels that all people benefit from dancing!
Ohid had become not only a very talented Dancer , but, also, is a brilliant Choreographer! He is very intuitive, pushing the boundaries, being innovative! He is unique in how he teaches his students, such as not allowing the mirrors in the studio! Ohad wants his students to feel every movement, excude much passion, sensuality and creativity, to have confidence in their own uniqueness in dancing! The Documentary could easily have a Part 2! Not for young children due to some very sensual dancing performances!
On the whole, a really worthwhile Documentary!
