I have not seen many films from Singapore and this one is one of the very few. The plot is about a young Malay correctional officer in the Singapore prison system, where through a twist of fate he was promoted to be an assistant executioner with an imminent job to do. Singapore is one of those few countries where certain crimes, such as drug trafficking and murder, can invoke a death sentence. The young office had to deal with his unpleasant past, the loss of his sister, and the pressure associate with executing a human being. A decent psycho-drama. In Malay (and some English) with subtitles.

Wow what a movie must watch it again. I can imagine what an executioner has to go through in life . I think some prison guards will get PTSD at some point of time during their career and the same goes for men who go to war and see real deaths taking place before their eyes.
