Dark, dismal, slow moving with very brief periods of action. I wouldn't want to watch this very long movie a second time.

The Lost City of Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

But the worst part is the typical Follywood PC formula, of putting 21st Century personalities & attitudes (especially the snarky "individual" female character) into early 20th Century characters. Absolute bull!

Found this movie interesting, shows how the explorers from the early 1900's went through the trials of exploring the jungles and uncharted territories. If you think this is a "Indiana Jones" movie don't bother as this movie is more true to the era than running around a jungle finding treasure (don't get me wrong like those movies for what they were). Some parts were a bit slow but you have to watch it to the end (which I have to admit was a little confusing and was up to individual interpretation) Good film.

Yay! Here it is - a movie specifically designed for male children (say 10 years old) that grew up in the 50's to dreck like "King Solomon's Mines". Jimmy Gray, being one of the greatest hacks in world cinema loads this thing up with a new cliche every 10 seconds. If the S. American cannibals had gobbled up Jimmy-boy and his entourage they would be eligible for multiple humanitarian rewards.

The film is of interest in that it portrays an early explorer in the Amazon who seemed to be somewhat sympathetic to the indigenous peoples he encountered.

Movie was very long and pretty stupid. 2 1/2 hours and no conclusion. Try something else

As sometimes happens with Hollywood, the film departs from reality in significant ways.

It seems as non-fiction.
Anyway, the nature is wonderful. People are strong, brave and hopeful.
No happy end...

A good documentary type of movie following the travels of Fawcett while he surveys the border between Bolivia and Brazil for the Royal Geographical Society, discovering broken pottery and other artifacts, before having to flee aggressive natives in the area. Years later, after having secured funding, Fawcett returns to the area with his son to find the site. Though his widow keeps hope until her death in 1954, the Fawcett men are never heard from again.

Uninspiring, not entertaining either. Comparing to another English explorers movie ' Mountains of the Moon', this is a B movie.
