The stories, the artwork, the entire layout of this book... Is amazing. I can't wait to read the second one! :)
If you are a geek girl, or a feminist, then I greatly recommend this inspiring book.

I loved all the different styles of artwork throughout this book, and it introduced me to a lot of extraordinary women I haven't heard of before. I was also really impressed by the inclusion of women from across the world and throughout time spanning all sorts of careers and lifestyles.

This is a great book and I need to just buy a copy, I kept the library's for so long! This is not a book you read just once! It is a treasure! However, I did give it 4 1/2 stars instead of 5 for including Maggie Thatcher (and a few others). She just doesn't belong in here.
But it's well worth reading and owning!

An inspirational book which shows children (and especially girls) how successful they can be in any field if they work hard and follow their dreams. It is not meant to be a full biography of a 100 different women but rather simply meant to highlight that girls are powerful too! More used as a motivational tool than an outright educational tool but invaluable just the same.
I loved the illustrations in different styles to suit each particular woman and I love that the stories are told in simple, child friendly, writing. Most of all, I thought it was clever that each story made it a point to talk about the hopes and dreams of each woman when they were young girls; it immediately makes the book more relate-able to its intended audience.

A great idea, to bring to light the women HIStory swept under the carpet; my only complaint is that it's written in language aimed at a 6 year old.

Great concept, well executed. Beautifully illustrated, well written. My only complaint - the inclusion of Margaret Thatcher. Well worth the read. And consider buying it for a girl or woman you love.
