Very interesting story, must have been hard to remain calm in the storm!

Captain Sully and his crew, brave people who acted calmly and with confidence, even if they weren't feeling calm or confident.

Clint Eastwood deftly brings a 2 hour movie to life about a 5 minute incident. Only a superior director and stellar acting could tell the whole story behind the landing everyone thinks they know about...but don't. Worth a watch.

I think it would've been ok for t.v., but I felt like they were trying to make 2 hours of big screen drama from 2 paragraphs of story. There's just not much to tell, but boy did they put in a lot of effort telling it.

A very troubling movie this guy had money troubles . Now with the plane crash he got a book deal a movie deal out of this incident. Troubling? Flight was better.

5 planes for excellent for an avaition reality film.
It made me research the Malayasian flight that crashed and lost forever in 2014. It makes us American release why we have strict professional training and importance for work experience.

I watched this twice on my loan and this holiday of gratitude; it resonates the season; we Americans are lucky we had him on our plans with wit and experience; compared to Malayasia 370 crashed

This is a great movie! I've watched it twice now. I showed it to my brother who worked for Boeing for 30 years, and he really enjoyed it. He worked in Human Factors, cockpit design, and accident review. Watching it with him confirmed my initial impression that the crash and the pilots' actions were very realistic. We both also very much appreciated the Extras on the second disc.

And Tom Hanks does an amazing job as Sully. (Although this confirmed my pre-existing opinion that you shouldn't get on a mode of transportation with Tom Hanks - Cast Away, Apollo 13, Captain Phillips). ;)

I love movies based on a true story and I also love Tom Hanks. I did not enjoy this movie at all. It was very mundane and I was quite bored with it. For some reason there was not any kind of wow factor and it lacked a "climax" so to speak.

Oh, the bureaucracy. I'm glad Sully was able to advocate for himself. Good movie; recommend.

A really dull sleep inducing movie. Awful.

A slow, but a good movie. Fascinating true story.

Another great one from the greatest: Clint Eastwood. Hanks is excellent as Sullenburger--a true hero. Pilots are the most highly trained people in the world; brain surgeons and heart surgeons are also highly trained, but they help people one at a time; pilots are responsible for the lives of many people at once; Sullenburger saved 155 lives. I was a Marine helo pilot in Vietnam shot down twice with loads of Marines on board and no loss of life; we do our jobs.

Many quotes in IMDb. Favorite is:
Elizabeth Davis: [At the NTSB investigation proceedings] First Officer Skiles, is there anything you'd like to add? Anything... you would have done differently if you... had to do it again?
Jeff Skiles: Yes. I would've done it in July.
This one is not in IMDb:

Here's a funny thing: I've delivered a million passengers over 40 years in the air... but in the end I'lm gonna be judged on 208 seconds.
Just once I'd like to get out of LaGuardia on time.
-Well you know the only way to get out of LaGuardia.
No, what's that?
-Flight from JFK.
