Add a CommentQuite impressive actually :) I really enjoyed reading this book! The beginning is pretty hooking, some parts were a bit boring but at some point I felt like it was the BEST BOOK EVER! I'm definitely probably be looking for the sequel. I recommend this book for those who love fantasy and the great stories and tales!
Somewhat entertaining, but Pullman introduces a lot of oddball characters.
This is a great and entertaining work of fiction. This one lays the groudwork for the series in terms of plot, characters and the author's philosophy on christianity.
The book really takes its time proceeding and developing so it wasn't the kind of book you got hooked into from the very first sentence. But the book climax and ending was definitely worth the patience.
This is probably the 3rd time I have read this book. Definitely one of my favorites! Great story line, keeps you hooked till the end, then leaves you wanting more!
This was really good! The only drawback for me was that I didn't really like Lyra that much as a protagonist. Otherwise, it was a great story. I'll be checking out the later books for sure!
great book
Incredibly great book. Written for kids, but enjoyable for everyone, which makes it an even BETTER book for kids in my opinion!
It was a amazing story that was a good read and very entertaining.
This is the second book in the Dark Materials) Golden Compass series. Zack enjoyed this and gave it a 7-10 rating. He would like to read the next book.
