SNL Spoof of Homeland
I watched this spoof before I started watching Homeland. It was ridiculous and totally over the top. Then I started watching Homeland and can appreciate how accurate it is. Anne Hathaway nails crazy. Couldn't find a single clip of the whole thing but here's one bit from youtube.

Add a CommentA great series. A must watch. Mandy Patinkin and Clair Danes are excellent. I found it impossible to watch only one episode at a time...and am looking forward to season 2. I recommend this series to those who enjoy watching movies about government agencies and what goes on behind the scenes.
I am sad to say I am disappointed with this series. I had heard good reports about season one, but I suppose I expected too much. All the characters are flawed beyond what is reasonable, and the writers did a terrible job with the season finale. If you want to feel angry, disappointed, and a sense of emptiness, watch this series.
I really liked this. It's a thoughtful juxtapostion of the meaning of "us" vs. "them". I was expecting more of a heavy-handed nationalism. While there is some action and drama, that's not what this series is all about. I wanted Claire Danes to be stronger in the role, but the writing and story arc were compelling enough to keep me watching.
Very hard to watch; there are no good guys to root for in the series.
This series is heavy and depressing. I can not BELIEVE it won a Golden Globe and beat out MAD MEN. It does nothing that has not already been done before, sex, violence etc. I'm going to skip it!!
Have these '5 star' reviews been written be hired Networkers ?? They seem...'professional' !?! ... not like us ?
Super entertaining. The actors are perfection (especially Danes - boy did she have me rooting for her by the end of the season). The only negative is that, for a show so well done, there are too many convenient coincidences and unlikely plot developments.
Watched all of season 1 and I'm not sure what all the hoopla and praise is about. Pretty mediocre... Damian Lewis is good, but everything else feels artificial. Very predictable. I'm confused by all the Golden Globe and Emmy award attention. There are so many better current and past dramas that are far more interesting. Watch the SNL spoof it might save you hours.
What a waste of time! Typical US TV series: lots of sex, constant use of the F-word and graphic torture scenes. Claire Danes knows how to choose them ... What a terrible show!
if you like shows like "24" and "Sleeper Cell" check this one out.
