Once in a lifetime, a writer puts it all together. This is James Patterson's best book ever. Total For 36 years, James Patterson has written unputdownable, pulse-racing novels. Now, he has written a book that surpasses all of them. ZOO is the thriller he was born to write. World All over the world, brutal attacks are crippling entire cities. Jackson Oz, a young biologist, watches the escalating events with an increasing sense of dread. When he witnesses a coordinated lion ambush in Africa, the enormity of the violence to come becomes terrifyingly clear. Destruction With the help of ecologist Chloe Tousignant, Oz races to warn world leaders before it's too late. The attacks are growing in ferocity, cunning, and planning, and soon there will be no place left for humans to hide. With wildly inventive imagination and white-knuckle suspense that rivals Stephen King at his very best, James Patterson's ZOO is an epic, non-stop thrill-ride from "One of the best of the best." So just finished "Zoo" by James Patterson,I forced myself to finish it, after. The story started of good, great concept. Half way through I just felt like him and Ledwidge had no damm idea where the story was headed. It was poorly pieced together. Not there best work. The added characters felt as fill ins, they did nothing for the story. One character's story was not even finished. Honestly a waste of time.

WHAT an implausible solution to a credible question! Human environmental -harm needs a better written story. Usually, I love the mix of fiction writing the question, and science answering...I don't fault the 'pace' of the story, but pretty much everything else was poor;y executed.

The storyline was very slow to start... half the book before things moved along. The flip to other story locations to reinforce the plot seemed an add on to add pages. The main character, though special, lacked credibility to be the Main character for this story. Not one of my favourites for sure...

i could not put this one down, and that has been a while coming. Exciting mix of science fact and storyline. I really hope that there is a book2 as this one definately warrants a second look at the evolving story

I agree with the readers who did not like this book. It was not up to the standards of books such as the Alex Cross series.

I have over 60 of james patterson books and I feel that this is simply his worst book to date. Maybe he should read it before putting his name of another persons writing.

This is the worst book James Patterson ever wrote.

Personally I'm surprised that James Patterson would get in on this whole "writing-of-an-apocalyptic-novel" thing, whether he contributed to the book or not. While this novel could have been much better, I will say it's okay as an action-adventure yarn... if you can buy into the somewhat hokey "explanation" about what caused the wild animals to go craxy.

I was disappointed with this book. The story-line was too far fetched and the writing was ho hum. I felt like I skimmed through a book written by somebody other than James Patterson. It was a time waster.
