Add a CommentGreat read. Loved the characters and story.
Another fun Grisham of the couldn't put it down variety. Enjoyable read with a bit of a twist since the "good guy" is a convict and plans to outwit the authorities. Great beach read.
very good. lawyer in jail knows who killed the judge. he islet out after telling them who the killer was and goesm into hiding wnder an assumed identity.
Grisham is fun and engaging even when he phones it in. Doesn't touch the Rainmaker, but nothing does.
Have to hand it to Grisham. Some may sneer, but he's nailed it again with a story about vengeance by a wrongly convicted man. Classify this in the cannot put it down category.
An alright book for an uncomplicated read. I wasn't sure that I liked the main character and there was an unease about the way the plot seem to breeze thro without any issues. But, then the author's final comment at the end of the book seems to sum it up - it really wrote it as a lark, with little or no research into it.
I could not put this book down. The writing is excellent, as expected. The story is complex and no matter how many Grisham novels you've read, there is no way you will figure out how this story will end...many twists and turns, excellent plot, characters are well developed and interesting...a must read for any Grisham fan!
Great story... kept me wanting more all the way through. John Grisham does not disappoint and if you're a fan of his writing, you will want to read this one!
The longer I read this book, the more I found the plot to be unbelievably far-fetched and convoluted. Despite this, I kept reading because it was entertaining enough to keep me interested. I’m not sure that I’ll read another Grisham novel though.
An entertaining story. No real drama, no big court case.
