Add a CommentOne of our favourite starting school books. Perfect for nervous kids and parents alike.
My son's JK teacher read this book at the beginning of the school year. She then had the students trace their hand on paper and attach a sticker of "kissing lips" on the palm. The kids were then encouraged to share it with their parents and carry it in their back pack each day, if they found the transition to school difficult. Then, they would know that they too had a kiss from Mom/Dad with them all day in case they needed it.
Beautiful story and illustrations.
A beautiful book for children heading off to school or daycare for the first time.
Great book for kids preparing to go to school. Very touching for parents too.
This book provides toddlers with a helpful resolution to the topic of separation anxiety. But once ours had grasped its message, he largely lost interest in reading it any more.
