Comment
Add a Comment"Afraid of Everyone" has got to be the "creepy" song of the bunch on THIS album while the rest isn't as "creepy" but "upbeat" in tone, as evident on "Bloodbuzz Ohio"; "Lemonworld"; "Runaway"; and "Conversation 16". A must listen!
i listened to this album every day for 2 months and although that sort of obsessiveness has subsided a little , i am still in love with every single track. each song is melancholic yet hauntingly beautiful. i especially love matt berninger's baritone voice.
An excellent album. I stress that it did take me a few listens to really get into it but after that I was hooked. The songs are very beautiful, melodic, catchy and even rocking. Certainly one of the best new rock releases from 2010. If you like Arcade Fire you'll like this disc by the National.
You guys should get the Redux edition. Comes with some extra awesome songs that didn't make it on the first run of the album!
Like every other The National record, only better -- sharper, cleaner, more melodic.
