Add a CommentI enjoyed this book but enjoyed the movie version more. I found the book dragged on a bit (especially after watching the movie first, and therefore already knowing what was going to happen next). I also found some parts of the plot a bit tame.
The movie for this book is very interesting and Brendan Fraiser {exuse my spelling} was amazing in it. I totally recomend this book.
Inkheart, by Cornelia Funke. Was a good book, but I found that I had to take a lot of breaks from it, and read something else. This was mostly due to the repetition of events in the book. When the same things happen over and over again, it usually makes for a boring read. I had to force myself to read it, as it was not always a page turner.
A well-written story with believable characters, terrible villains and strange and wonderful powers. Like Meggie, I too would love to be a Silvertongue. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and can hardly wait to read the sequel.
the whole inkheart trilogy was kike the best thing ever i read the series like thee times IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A great read for children and teens.
I love this series! you MUST read it!
Great book. I love the thickness of this book. I must start Inkspell. Way to go to Cornelia Funke!!!!!!
It is always fascinating to encounter a new paradigm for magic. I saw the film before reading the book and enjoyed both; it's too bad they clearly did not intend to make a 2nd film.
The idea of having a voice that can draw characters out of a book is so clever! The language and imagery in this book were vivid. It's definetly worth the read!
